President Donald Trump on Tuesday night directed the Justice Department to clear out the remaining U.S. attorneys from the Biden administration, arguing the agency has become too politicized and the country must “clean house immediately.”
The directive follows the White House a week earlier sending termination letters to several U.S. attorneys nationwide who had been appointed by former President Joe Biden, according to Reuters. Several U.S. attorneys also resigned Monday, and others left last week.
