Will ‘pro-life’ protesters stand against devastating USAID cuts? (Letter)

Last summer, I frequently saw protesters outside St. Monica’s church on Olive Boulevard protesting legalizing abortion. When will I see these same pro-lifers protesting the anti-life policies enacted by the Trump/Musk presidency?
In Nigeria, toddlers are starving because charities funded by USAID grants can no longer provide therapeutic peanut butter paste, a life-saving treatment for malnourished children. At another community center in Africa, pregnant mothers were denied their antiretroviral medications because this USAID-funded program was shut down. These medications kept them healthy as well as protecting their unborn children from HIV.
Ebola, which has a mortality rate of 50%, has spread to three cities in Uganda. USAID staff, who have previously worked to contain other small Ebola outbreaks, have been told to return to the U.S. by the administration.
